Marek Kamieński

Marek Kamieński (ur. 1958). Malarz, rysownik, autor filmów, instalacji i performance, jeden z głównych przedstawicieli malarstwa \''nowej ekspresji\'' lat 80, wokalista i producent zespołu Zilch (Jarocin 1984-1985), urodził się w Katowicach.

W latach 1972-1979 studiował w tamtejszej filii krakowskiej ASP na Wydziale Grafiki, po czym włączył się w nurt sztuki lat 80, ze swoim podszytym ironią i mocno epatującym erotyką wielko-formatowym malarstwem połączonym z fotografią.

Pierwsza indywidualna wystawa artysty miała miejsce w 1983 roku w katowickim BWA. Wykorzystując zdjęcia z pism ilustrowanych i pornograficznych, łączył popartowską stylistykę z wręcz \''dziko\'' nakładaną na płótno farbą (Motorhead, 1982). Nie stronił również od żartobliwych, fantastycznych wizji, jak choćby silnie naładowanych ekspresją, monstrualnie powiększonych pluszowych zabawek, cytatów z obrazów Jana Matejki czy fantazyjnych stworzeń (Dinozaury, 1985). Od tego czasu gromadzi i łączy motywy dowolnie, mieszając elementy kultury wysokiej i plebejskiej z ikonami europejskiej sztuki.

Pod koniec lat 80 odchodzi od \''dzikiego\'' malarstwa na rzecz postmodernistycznej zabawy z różnymi konwencjami. Nawiązuje do stylistyki futurystycznej (Sokrates tańczący, (Śniadanie na trawie, 1991), a w następnych latach do klasyki malarstwa trawestując i cytując, mieszając i parafrazując różne znane wątki malarskie.

Narracyjny, wieloaspektowy i wieloplanowy sposób kreacji motywów na płótnie kontynuuje do dziś. Jego obecne prace (Vincent i Paul idą na motyw, 2009), solidnie dopracowane, wręcz dekoracyjne, emanują feerią ostrych barw, płasko konstruowaną przestrzenią obrazu, zagęszczoną narracją , ale też niekonwencjonalnymi zbitkami myślowymi, nie stroniącymi od pastiszu.
